Elop Technology, a company at the forefront of ultrasound imaging, is excited to announce the release of Insight 2.0, the next generation of the company’s revolutionary dry-coupling rolling ultrasonic scanner
Insight 1.0, which was initially released in November 2021, has already proven itself as a valuable tool in the field of non-destructive testing (NDT) for concrete inspections. However, the Insight 2.0, is further improving the technology. This new platform builds on the patented hardware of Insight 1.0 and includes a number of upgrades that will make it even more responsive, faster, and easier to use.
One of the main challenges in NDT ultrasonic scanning is that it can be meticulous and time-consuming, especially when it comes to large-scale scans. Elop Insight has revolutionized the market by making it financially feasible to perform large area scans. This opens up a new business area for inspection companies and allows for more efficient and cost-effective inspections of concrete structures.
Insight 2.0 includes a number of improvements, such as improved image quality, 30% less down-push force required on rough surfaces, a new intuitive live 3D view, a new way of visualizing B, C, and D-slices, easier cross-track slicing, and the elimination of dependency on a separate compute module. This makes it even easier for customers to use and get the most value out of our product.

Elop Technology started the rollout of Insight 2.0 in January 2023, and existing customers will be able to retrofit their Insight 1.0 with the upgrades.
