Director Digital Solutions

Are you our new Director for Digital Solutions? We are looking for someone who have a passion for the digital space, with a strong software background, and is a strategic thinker, change agent, and relationship builder. The Director for Digital Solutions is responsible for the cross-functional management of products and solutions through their entire lifecycle. This role will own the digital product portfolio strategy and roadmap, and lead the product development and execution team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the company strategy for product planning and design, covering the portfolio of systems to drive Elop’s digital evolution and strategy.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to drive product development from conceptualization through launch.
  • Lead in defining and managing product roadmaps and establish expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Bring together disciplines across architecture, data engineering, decision science, cloud/platform technologies and Elop’s scanner/inspection products.
  • Build and lead the digital product ownership and product execution teams (including software, digital UX/UI, product owners, scrum masters, and others) to work towards actionable plans, work streams and tactics to execute product launches.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the product management, including strategy development, business planning, new product development, gaining cross functional alignment and driving the commercialization of the business plan.
  • Identify trends in industry and across customer requests to guide Elop’s product and feature roadmap.
  • Define short and long-term product roadmaps with measurable success criteria that have consideration for innovation, lifecycles and business requirements.
  • Develop financial and operational objectives and ensure operational plans are aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and gather potential product ideas, technologies, and business opportunities that can be integrated into the current product lines and recommend exploration of future products and opportunities.
  • Manage trade-offs between speed to market, quality and financial impact
  • Support installed base of digital products and solutions

Skills and qualification:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and prepared to work in a hectic start-up environment
  • Master's Degree/PhD in Computer Science or related STEM field and strong software engineering background, with minimum 10 years of professional experience
  • Technical leadership and exposure across a broad scale of tools, technologies, and architecture models
  • Enterprise data management and data integration experience. In-depth knowledge of big data and cloud technologies (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
  • Understanding of Agile software development principals.
  • Proven ability to lead, implement, and support a Software as a Service (SaaS) type operation in a fast-paced, high-growth, mission-critical, technology-based environment, in collaboration with partners and suppliers.
  • Leadership skills, familiar with managing and working with a multi-disciplines team across geographies.
  • Experience leading product innovation and research by exploring the market to gather potential product ideas that can be integrated into the current portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to build short and long-term product roadmaps with measurable financial and business results.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications, and ability to communicate with different levels of management and executives.
  • Expertise in driving an open and inclusive culture, focus on customer service and fostering innovative thinking.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive culture changes and people development.

An essential responsibility will be to establish and build the right team and from there lead the technical experts in delivering digital capacity and capabilities aligned with the company’s growth plans and ambitions.
