8 March 2022 – Elop has signed a distributor partnership agreement with leading Asian NDT equipment supplier, NDT Instruments. The agreement covers Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos.

“Elop Technology has a strategy of expanding our sales channels in key markets worldwide. This agreement is a key part of this strategy, and it provides a shortcut to eight large Asian markets. The discussions have been ongoing for the last few months, and we have learned to know NDT Instruments as a highly professional and competent company. I am convinced that we together will create success in these very interesting markets” says Øivind Horpestad, executive chairman of Elop.

This is the sixth substantial distribution partnership agreement that Elop Technology signed in the last few months.

“It has been exciting weeks for us where we now have secured sale, promotion and distribution in total 27 countries around the world,” adds Niklas Persson, Head of Global Sales.

NDT Instruments was established in 1993 with the mission to identify, source and supply quality products and aftersales maintenance, repair calibration services to its customers in the field of non–destructive testing (NDT) and quality assurance and control (QA/QC). NDT Instruments are committed to be the leading supplier in the ASEAN region to provide dependable yet cost effective inspection, quality assurance and control related equipment and solutions to its customers.

The partnership gives NDT Instruments the right to sell the Elop Insight scanner in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos. The agreement also includes a partner status where NDT Instruments will manage maintenance, repairs, and product training for the Elop Insight clients in the company’s territory.

The patented rolling Elop Insight ultrasound scanner helps to identify issues that owners of concrete infrastructure must address. It is designed to quickly inspect and assess large surface areas. The live 3D visualization of the concrete structure on the scanner screen, provides a real-time interpretation of the concrete’s internal state, including elements and defects such as cracks, air pockets, voids, delamination, and rebars.

“We are very excited to bring this revolutionary new rolling ultrasonic technique to our ASEAN market and we are convinced that our clients will be very impressed by the accuracy and efficiency of the Insight scanner system. We are looking forward to a very fruitful partnership with Elop for many years to come.“ says Venkat Ananthanarayanan, Managing Director at NDT Instruments.
